Applies basic understanding of usability and user experience design to develop and execute creative interactive designs for online and mobile platforms, alone or in coordination with the back-end IT team.
Works with staff and physician stakeholders to collect requirements, scope projects and contribute to creative and technical concepts.
Evaluates, designs and implements modifications to existing websites to accommodate changes in user requirements.
Employs best practices in the conducting and interpreting of usability tests focused on user experience and effectiveness against project goals.
Proactively identifies areas for improvements and assists managing projects to implement enhancements to completion including software installation and/or upgrades.
Documents design and interaction standards and works with vendors to enforce their application.
Maintains software code in accordance with established organization standards and development guidelines.
Creates new web templates or themes for the Association’s content management systems (CMS).
Skills:
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
Three to five years’ experience.
Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Excellent knowledge of responsive web design.
Familiarity with C# and ASP.NET Model-View-Controller (MVC) development. PHP knowledge a plus.
Experience with Git or other source control systems.
Experience with user interaction design and working with responsive layouts.
Familiarity with web content management systems (CMS), web accessibility standards and style guides. WordPress and Sitecore preferred.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, XD) or equivalent design software
